The Frederick Amateur Radio Club (FARC) is a non-profit organization whose members share an active interest in Amateur Radio and in volunteer public service to our community, through Amateur Radio. Our Club callsign is K3ERM.

Click to go to the ARRL web site.

The FARC traces its roots back to the earlier days of Amateur Radio (1933), when the Frederick Amateur Radio Transmitting Society (FARTS) was formed. Although we are justifiably proud of our FARTS heritage, the Club in later years adopted our present name, which results in a somewhat more polite acronym.

Today, the FARC operates two
repeaters in the Frederick area and hosts a popular Hamfest each Father's Day. We are affiliated with the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), and the Foundation for Amateur Radio (FAR). Our Club sponsors a scholarship through the FAR, awarded annually to a deserving young Ham who is pursuing higher educational goals.

We appreciate your interest in our Club, and invite you to browse our web site further to learn more about us, our activities and projects. To keep up-to-date with the latest goings-on, you can sign-up for our
email discussion list by clicking
here and filling out the subscription form.
